Publication: Analysis of successful and non-successful development projects

Isabel Ortiz, Associate Professor in UPM and Coordinator of the group for co-operation in organization, quality and environment (GOCMA-UPM), and Jaime Moreno, Technical Manager of the Innovation and Technology for Development Centre, have investigated three cases of International Development projects where they have participated.

Some cases have been a success, others have not. First of they define what a success means regarding IC projects. The analysis tries to show the critical success factors for those projects and to share the lessons learned.

This publication was conducted for the iniciative “Global Dimension in Engineering Education” that aims to increase the awareness, critical understanding and attitudinal values of undergraduate and postgraduate students in technical universities related to Sustainable Human Development (SHD) and its relationship with technology.
