LABSHIRE is a diverse and participatory collaborative ecosystem that attracts and integrates interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and ideas.
Through LABSHIRE we systematize and disseminate the main experiences and lessons learned from the projects.
In addition, this innovation space connects the projects of Alianza Shire with other relevant projects, organizations, and alliances, facilitating the exchange of experiences and the discussion about methodologies, approaches, and learning.
Our goal is that the proposed solutions can be applied in other contexts of humanitarian contexts.
The main actions that are being carried out through LABSHIRE are:
- Systematization of Alianza Shire's experience to develop recommendations in the field of multi-stakeholder partnerships that are connected to the Sustainable Development Goal 17.
- Giving support on the training tasks of Alianza Shire's project, implemented on three refugee camps in Shire (Ethiopia).
- Connecting Alianza Shire with other international initiatives for access to energy in humanitarian contexts.
The pilot project
Between 2014 and 2017, Alianza Shire developed a pilot project in the Adi-Harush refugee camp in Shire, northern Ethiopia. We have published a Case Study with the lessons learned:
